The City of Gladstone hired Navitas and its construction partner to replace the rooftop units on the Gladstone City Hall. Navitas Team Works Over Winter Break to Make Energy Saving Upgrades
Navitas would like to thank our subcontractors on the Lockwood School District Energy Performance Contract, Gold Mechanical, C&C Group, BioStar Lighting, and Navitas Construction Manager, Richard, for their well-coordinated and highly efficient efforts to meet a very aggressive schedule.
Our team spent the two weeks over winter break upgrading all of the rooftop HVAC for Lockwood HS and nearly all the HVAC system at Lockwood ES. A Building Automation System (BAS) was also installed during this period to provide the owner remote global access and greater control over their HVAC systems.
Data analytics hardware and software were deployed and once implemented will allow Navitas to assist Lockwood School District in optimizing their building systems to capitalize on energy savings potential.
BioStar Lighting completed retrofitting all interior lighting from fluorescent to LED lighting at both schools during the break. At the HS, Biostar installed all new gym lighting controlled by motion sensors to maximize energy savings.
We are proud to help our client and get this work done without disrupting their education mission so teachers and students come back after break to a more energy efficient, brighter and warmer buildings.
North Kansas City Schools Save with LED Lightbulbs
As part of our recent energy efficiency project in the North Kansas City Schools district, the teachers are encouraged to use energy efficient lightbulbs in their classroom floor or desk lamps. One of our staff members, Zack, dropped off LED lightbulbs at Northgate Middle School. Principal McGinnis is pictured receiving the lightbulbs for distribution.
Our team is helping promote this to all the teachers with this catchy flier!
Did you know that LED lightbulbs are 80% more energy efficient, last 15 times longer, and are cheaper to operate than incandescent lightbulbs?
